Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 15, 2026

Bible Music ("App", "Service", "we", "us", or "our") is operated by Aaron. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect personal data when you use Bible Music and related support pages.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use Bible Music, we may collect:

  • account information such as email address, username, and authentication identifiers;
  • Google Account email addresses submitted through our website to join Google Play closed testing;
  • Google sign-in information when you choose Google login;
  • profile data such as avatar image and bio;
  • public or anonymous testimonies, reflections, likes, and related community activity;
  • favorites, playlists, recently played songs, Bible reading history, devotion progress, and devotion check-in dates;
  • subscription status, plan type, renewal status, and transaction-related metadata from app stores and RevenueCat;
  • notification settings, Firebase Cloud Messaging token, and app-device session identifiers;
  • device and technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, language, IP address, log data, and diagnostic data;
  • information collected automatically by advertising or analytics-related SDKs that are part of the Service, including Google AdMob where applicable.

2. Sensitive Religious Context

Because Bible Music is a Christian devotional app, some account activity, testimonies, Bible reading behavior, and devotion records may reveal information about religious belief or spiritual practice. We process this data only to operate the Service you choose to use and share.

3. How We Use Information

We use your information to:

  • create and maintain your account;
  • provide Bible reading, Christian music, favorites, playlists, testimonies, and devotion features;
  • store and sync your activity across supported sessions;
  • process subscriptions, restore purchases, and unlock premium features;
  • send notifications when enabled, including verse and service-related notifications;
  • support moderation, prevent abuse, and protect users and the platform;
  • operate advertising for free users where applicable;
  • respond to support requests and deletion requests;
  • manage invitations and participation for Google Play closed testing;
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

4. Community and Anonymous Posts

If you submit a testimony or other public post, that content may be visible to other users. If you choose an anonymous posting option, your name may be hidden from other users, but the content can still remain associated with your account internally for moderation, safety, abuse prevention, and legal compliance.

5. Advertising and Third-Party Collection

Free users may see ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob and similar providers may automatically collect data such as IP address, device identifiers, app interaction data, diagnostic information, and approximate location signals as described in their own privacy documentation.

Bible Music also relies on third-party services including Supabase, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Google Sign-In, RevenueCat, Apple App Store, and Google Play. These providers may process data as needed to provide their services.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information:

  • with service providers that host, store, authenticate, deliver notifications, process subscriptions, or secure the Service;
  • with app stores, payment processors, and RevenueCat for purchase and subscription handling;
  • when public content is intentionally shared by you inside community areas;
  • when required by law, legal process, or to protect users, rights, or platform integrity;
  • in connection with a restructuring, transfer, or sale of assets, if that ever occurs.

7. Data Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Service, maintain your account, provide support, resolve disputes, protect the platform, and comply with legal obligations.

Current examples in Bible Music include:

  • account deletion requests are held during a 30-day waiting period before final deletion;
  • devotion check-in history may be retained for up to one year under the current system cleanup policy;
  • closed testing signup emails may be retained while testing is active or until you ask us to remove them;
  • some financial, anti-fraud, or legal records may be retained longer where required or reasonably necessary.

8. Account Deletion

You may request account deletion in the app or by emailing support@thebiblemusic.com.

When you request deletion, your request enters a 30-day waiting period. If you sign in again during that period, the pending deletion request is canceled.

Deleting the app from your device does not cancel your subscription. Subscription cancellation must be handled through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.

9. Device Permissions

Bible Music may request access to notifications, camera, and photo library or media files when needed for app features such as avatar upload, notifications, or media selection. You can control these permissions in your device settings, but some features may not work properly without them.

10. Local Device Storage

The app may store some information locally on your device, such as reading history, recent playback, skip counters, ad timing data, reminder timestamps, and device session identifiers. This helps the app function properly and restore your experience.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, but no system can be guaranteed completely secure.

12. Your Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or withdrawal relating to your personal data. To make a request, contact support@thebiblemusic.com.

13. Children

Bible Music is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal data to us, contact us so we can review the situation.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
